Course proper (Slow):

Hysteria Lane (Lammas) and Madame Jamai (Hercock) worked together over 1000 metres in 1:08.9, last 600m in 39.2, in a nice piece of work by both horses. In good form, Hysteria Lane (Perfectly Ready) has been nominated for the Rating 65 1200 metres on Saturday at Ellerslie. For the meeting on Sunday at Hawera, Madame Jamai has been entered for the Rating 65 1400 metres, footing dependent.

Sand track:

Maestro (Zac-Syed) worked over 1200m at three-quarter pace, running the last 1000m in 1:12. Bettorock (Hercock) went an easy 800m in 55, last 600m in 40. Prince Henry (Lammas) had his first bit of faster work over 800m in 60. Lady Iffraaj (Grylls) and Stella Di Paco (Rastrick) went together over 800m in 1:01.
