Course proper (Heavy):

Stella Di Paco (Lammas) and Tavis Star (Coleman) went together over 1000m in 1:07.9, last 600m 39.8. It was very good work by both horses. Two-year-old Stella Di Paco (Paco Boy) has come on considerably since finishing midfield behind impressive winner High Class (Shocking) at Avondale, and contests the $50,000 Castletown Stakes (Listed, 1200m) on Saturday at Wanganui. Preparing for either the 3YO 1600m or Rating 65 1600m on Saturday at Ellerslie, Tavis Star (Tavistock) has produced two big efforts for a first and second respectively over a mile at her last two starts.

Maestro (Miller) worked solo over an easy 1200m in 1:25, last 600m in 41. He will gallop with a mate later in the week.

Scandinavian (Lammas) worked at three-quarter pace over 1000m in 1:28, last 600m in 42.

Sand track:

Bettorock (Lammas) and Bon Marche (Hercock) went 800m in 53, last 600m in 39. Grandeur (Lammas) did the same work in 54, last 600m in 39.
