Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 14 July -

All-weather track:

Star of Greenbeel (Miller) worked to time over 1000m at three-quarter pace in preparation to resume in the Rating 65 1200 metres on Thursday at Hastings.

Sunset Pass (Miller) and 4 g Ekraar - Cape Win (Winter) worked easily together over 2400m. They ran the 1000m in 1:07, last 600m in 39, and both pleased the trainers. Sunset Pass (Yamanin Vital) has been nominated for the Maiden Hurdle over 2800 metres on Saturday at Te Rapa.

Duchess Kate (Hercock) and Lady Painton (Miller) went 800m in 57, last 600m in 42.

2 g Per Incanto - Flying Florence (Ritchie) worked very well over 800m in 53, last 600m in 38.3.

Fastnet Fire (Cameron - below right) and Grazia (Lammas - below left) - covered 800m in 56.6, last 600 in 41.9 and both travelled nicely through the line.

Carmenize (Lammas - main photo and below the grey) and Ekraarstatic (Cameron - main photo and below) showed to be coming to hand nicely when working over 800m in 51, last 600m in 37.5.

Promosso (Lammas) and 2 f Encosta De Lago - Chasing Mammon (Hercock) went an easy 800m, with the last 600m in 40.

More than Fast (Ritchie) and 2 g Castledale - Elianto (Richards) went 800m in 54, last 600m in 39.

Three-quarter pace, sand track:

Scrutinize (Lammas) and Xtravagant (Cameron) worked easily together over 800m in 59, last 600m in 44.

Love Actually (Gomas) looked good when working over 800m in 60, last 600m in 42. Forty Winks (K. Price) and Gardenier (Miller) went an easy 800m in 60 and last 600m in 44.5, with plenty in reserve. Ebony Star (Fawcett) and Flaming (Hercock) were followed by Princess Davone (Winter) over 800m in 59, final 600m 43, all going well. Imperium (K. Price) went nicely over 800m in 55, last 600m in 41. Interstellar (Grylls) went an easy 800m.

Skyscraper (Hercock) enjoyed his work over 1000m at three-quarter pace.

2 g Postponed - Promissory (Ritchie) and 2 g Sakhee's Secret - Spin ‘n Grin (Shailer) went an easy 800m.

Hushed (Hanafi) posted 53 in a working gallop over 800m, last 600m in 39. Beacon of Hope (Cameron) and Rocksun (Lammas) went together over 800m in 55, last 600m in 40, in pleasing work. Court Case (Lammas) and Splurge (Cameron) went an easy 800m in 55, last 600m in 41. Red Poppy (Gomas) went 800m in 55, last 600m in 40. Vive La Difference (Cameron) clocked 54 for 800m, last 600m in 38.5, followed by Thetruthisoutthere (Lammas) and in turn by Sequitur (Hercock).

Love Triangle (Cameron) and Special Memories (Lammas) ran an easy 800m in 53.5, last 600 in 38.4, both going well. Esprit De Corps (Ritchie) and Vintage Verdot (Richards) went 800m in 56.4.

Flirty Gertey (Hanafi) worked solo over 800m at three-quarter pace, as did Risque (Hercock).

Tatters (Coleman) and 3 g El Hermano - Santiga Lass (Hercock) worked beautifully over 800 in 55, last 600 in 40.
