Course proper (Heavy)


King's Rock (Miller) and King Savinsky (Cameron) worked right-handed over 1200 metres in 1:23.7, last 600m 39.5. Debut winner King's Rock (Fastnet Rock) is being readied for the Bonecrusher Stakes (Gr. 3, 1400m) on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Ellerslie, while the promising King Savinsky (Savabeel) ventures north again for the Maiden 1600 metres on Wednesday Oct. 2 at Ruakaka.


Also at Ellerslie, in the Soliloquy Stakes (Listed, 1400m), Ruthless Lady (Miller) and Spellbinder (Cameron) worked right-handed from the 1000 metres and clocked 38.8 for the final 600 metres.


Preparing for the meeting on Friday, Sept. 27, at Te Aroha, Jewels Gift (Dee) and Osmunda (Cameron) ran 1000 metres in 1:07.2, last 600m 39.4. Milan Miss (Miller) also scheduled for the meeting worked on the all-weather track over 1400 metres.


While the horses above are scheduled for upcoming assignments, trainer Jason Bridgman will be keeping a keen eye on the weather as a continuation of heavy footing may see them reserved.


1000 metres three-quarter pace on the sand track:


Urban Angel (Lang) worked solo, as did Imperial Miss (Dee), All Decked Out (Cameron), Wolfwhistle (Lang), Clos De Tart (Dee), Orinto (Miller), and Thrive (Miller). Stylee (Miller) and 3 g Duke of Marmalade - Frescante (Lang) worked together.


800 metres three-quarter pace on the sand track:


Precious Time (Dee) worked solo, as did Prospero (Ellis). Highly Likely (Hazlett) was paired with Maestro (Lang), 3 f Guillotine - Greta Hall (Cameron) and 3 f Volksraad - Rapida (Lang), 3 f High Chaparral - Romantic Liaisons (Miller) and 3 g King's Chapel - Effortlessly (Ellis), Cajero (Hazlett) and 4 g Darci Brahma - Royal Rhythm (Lang), Riverenza (Hazlett) and 3 f Darci Brahma - Peta's Girl (Ellis).


Flying Therese (Dee) and 3 f Zabeel - Thistle Cove (Lang) worked over 600 metres at three-quarter pace, as did 3 f Minstrel Court - Nat the Brat (Ellis).
