Te Akau Tuesday Trackwork

Te Akau track work highlights Tuesday 11 August -

All-weather track:

Preparing for the Rating 65 2100 metres on Saturday at Te Rapa Highly Likely (Miller) worked over ground. He looked good when covering the final 1200m in 1:24 and 600m in 39.5.

Sand track:

Gardenier (K. Price) ran an easy 800 in 57.5, last 600m in 42.5, with a nice piece of work. Wolfwhistle (Hercock) covered 800m in 55, last 600m in 40, doing it nicely. Flaming (Hercock) clocked 57 for the 800m and pleased in her effort. Beacon of Hope (McNab) and Zambezi Warrior (Cameron) both looked good during an easy 800m in 58, last 600m 40.8. Carmenize (McNab) and Windborne (Lammas) ran a bit of time over an easy 800m in 52. Our Drahma Queen (McNab) and Promosso (Cameron) also ran time over 800m in 53, last 600m in 38.9.

Three-quarter pace, sand track:

Lady Pinot (Zac-Syed) ran 800m in 1:00, last 600 in 43.5. More Than Fast (Cameron) and Royal Success (McNab) ran the same sectional times for their 800m. Amperage (Cameron) and Silverdale (McNab) both looked nice and keen when working to the clock over 800m at three-quarter pace. Prince Henry (Lammas) went 1000m in 1:11, last 600m in 41.8. Red Poppy (Cameron) and Spritz (McNab) worked together over 800m in 1:02. Special Memories (Cameron) produced nice solo work over 800m, as did Show No Emotion (Hercock).

Lady Jasmine (Zac-Syed), 2 f Alamosa - Zorina (Lammas) and 2 f Minstrel Court - Pinstinct (Hanafi) worked as a trio over 600m at three-quarter pace. 2 g Darci Brahma - Obsession (Fawcett) and 2 g Darci Brahma - Spin ‘n Grin (Hanafi) completed similar work over 600m.
