Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 29 September -
Sand track:
Scrutinize (Cameron) and Xtravagant (K. Jones) worked together over 1000 metres in 1:04, last 600m in 36.2, both pulling up very well. Xtravagant (Pentire) is scheduled for the 3YO 1200 metres on Friday at Te Rapa, and unbeaten Scrutinize (Savabeel) the Hawkes Bay Guineas (Gr. 2, 1400m) on Saturday at Hastings.
Interstellar (Hercock) and Love Triangle (Cameron) went 1000m in 1:04.2, last 600m in 35.6, working through the line together. A four and a half length last start winner at Taupo, Interstellar contests the Rating 65 1400 metres at Te Rapa. Classy debut winner Love Triangle (Encosta De Lago) takes on three-year-old fillies in the Gold Trail Stakes (Gr. 3, 1200m) at Hastings.
Preparing for the Rating 65 1200 metres on Friday at Te Rapa, Tatters (Hercock) worked solo over 1000m 1:05 and 37.5 for the last 600m.

Bon Marche (Lammas) and Zambezi Warrior (K. Jones) worked over 1200m. They clocked the 1000m in 1:05.5, last 600m in 37.6. Bon Marche (Nom Du Jeu) has been nominated for the Maiden 1580 metres on Sunday at Waipa.
Nominated to resume in the Open 1400 metres on Friday at Te Rapa, Wolfwhistle (Hercock) worked over 1200m with last start fresh-up winner Imperium (Cameron), ready for the Rating 75 2000 metres at Hastings. They covered the 1000m in 1:10.8, last 600m in 35.6, getting through the line on terms. Given the recent trial cancellations, Wolfwhistle (O'Reilly) will instead resume in the Open 1400 metres on Friday at Te Rapa.
Being readied for the Maiden 1150 metres on Sunday at Waipa, Carmenize (Fawcett) and Our Drahma Queen (Zac-Syed) ran an easy 1000m.

Sequitur (Lammas) worked to the clock in an easy gallop over 1000m.
Bordeaux (K. Jones) ran an easy 800m in 52, last 600m in 36.6. Sir Darci (Hercock) went an easy 800m in 53.5, and also working solo Hysteria Lane (Lammas) and Star of Greenbeel (Miller) did similar work.
Show No Emotion (Hercock) and Osmunda (Fawcett) went an easy 800m in 52.6, last 600m 38.
Sand track, three-quarter pace:

Duchess Kate (Hercock) and Opulent (Miller) went together over 1000m. Lady Pinot (Zac-Syed) went 800m solo, as did Our Drahma Queen (Miller). Vinevale (Fawcett) and 3 f Showcasing - Louders (Miller) covered 800m. 3 f Saperavi - Doyenne (Zac-Syed) went 800m. Forty Winks (Gomas - pictured above) went 800m. Echezeaux (Hercock - pictured below) went 800m and Promosso (Hanafi) 800m.

Skyscraper (Lammas) worked solo over 1200m.
All-weather track:
Highly Likely (Coleman) worked over ground. Highly Likely (High Chaparral) came the 1000m in 1:10 and has blinkers on for the Rating 65 2100 metres on Friday at Te Rapa.
Bounteous (Fawcett), Tiffany's Time (Zac-Syed) and 2 f Alamosa - Ensorcelez (Hanafi) worked as a trio over 600m at three-quarter pace.

Abloom (Gomas - pictured above right), Red Poppy (Hanafi) and 2 f Iffraaj - Lady Sakura (Price - pictured above left) went together over 600m at three-quarter pace, as did 2 f Smart Missile (Zac-Syed) and 3 f High Chaparral - Star Affair (Miller - pictured middle below), 2 f Mastercraftsman - Lynisky (Fawcett - pictured below left) and 2 f Savabeel - Modern Lady (Hanafi - pictured below right).

Riccarton:
Trial grass (Dead):
Preparing to race on Saturday at Riccarton, Vive La Difference (Ritchie) and Risque (Walsh) worked together over 1200 metres. Darkness prevented timing, but both horses pleased their riders. Vive La Difference (Choisir) steps up to a mile in the Rating 75 event after recent places here over 1200 & 1400 metres, while Risque (Darci Brahma), an eleven length maiden winner at Ashburton, contests the 3YO 1400 metres.
Special Memories (Walsh) ran good time over 1200m, clocking the 1000m in 59 and last 600m in 35.8, ahead of the Rating 65 1400 metres on Saturday.
Flaming (Walsh) ran 1000m in 1:00.4, last 600m in 36, and has pleased in her work leading into the Rating 75 1200 metres.
Bishop Rock (Ritchie) went 1000m three-quarter pace, last 600m in 55.
Canterbury Belle Stakes' (Listed, 1200m) winner Windborne (Ritchie) pace worked with Madame Jamai (Gerard), and Princess Davone (Ritchie) went solo in her pace work.
Assistant trainer Pamela Gerard reported all horses to be thriving.
