Well, it's been a week of good news!
Yesterday and last night, we received 24mls of beautiful, glorious rain.
There is a standard joke at Te Akau Stud that when I put fertiliser on the farm, the rain always comes.
Last week, we put on 580 tonnes of super phosphate and 500 tonnes of lime and this rain will wash it into the ground beautifully! A lot more is needed, but it will come.
I have also had many requests for photos of Lydia and Jamie Roseby's wedding. I have been sent these stunning images to share with you all, and I hope you enjoy them as much as we have.
I have had an update from our stable jockey, Opie Bosson, who is at Caulfield track this morning to ride Melody Belle in her final gallop before the A$5 million All Star Mile race on Saturday.
Opie reports that Melody Belle is flying and that she felt amazing - he couldn't be happier with her.
Meanwhile, the reports on Probabeel and Te Akau Shark in Sydney are also very exciting. They are both working extremely well, and I am very much looking forward to seeing how they progress over the next few days.
Have a great Tuesday everyone.
