Te Akau TV - Australia Here Comes The Kiwis
Date: 23 Mar 2023
We're back this week with an action packed edition of Te Akau TV that can't be missed!
We're joined by Te Akau Assistant Trainer Sam Bergerson as he provides an update of the week that's been, including winners Inca Belle, Merlotti, Aotea Lad, Romancing the Moon and Quintessa. Romancing the Moon was of course brilliant in the Group One Levin Classic (a stable quinella with Skew Wiff) while Quintessa brought up win No.150 for Te Akau for the season.
Sam talks us through the team's runners across six venues including New Plymouth, Moonee Valley (Friday night), Tauranga, Riccarton, Flemington (Saturday) and Tauherenikau (Sunday). This includes Perfect Scenario and Brando in the Group Two Ultimate Mazda Japan Trophy. We also have runners in Singapore on Saturday evening for you to enjoy.
We then cross over to Hunter Durrant for an update on our Australian charges as the girls line up in their respective Group One assignments at Moonee Valley and Flemington. Imperatriz takes her place in the Group One William Reid Stakes on Friday night as she attempts to better her narrow defeat in the Group One Canterbury Stakes a fortnight ago in Sydney. We've got some great news hot of the press that Campionessa will take her place in the Group One Australian Cup! She has drawn extremely well in barrier 4 and we're hopeful that she will have the opportunity to showcase her talent to our Australian neighbours. Mark is in Melbourne and very happy with them both.
All eyes are on Sam as he provides us with his Best Bet for the weekend.
Here's to an action packed weekend - we wish all our runners and connections the very best this weekend! Go the tangerine!
