Te Akau TV - Big Black Type Weekend x8

20 December, 2024

Will Christmas Come Early? Eight Black Type Contenders Take Centre Stage!

As we head into the final weekend before Christmas, Team Te Akau is as busy as ever! We’re geared up for an action-packed weekend of racing across New Zealand and Australia!

Last week we celebrated a tidy win from Damask Rose who returned in spectacular fashion, surging to victory by 1.75 lengths. She has confirmed her class and setting sights on future targets like the $1.5m Karaka Millions 3YO and the The NZB Kiwi Slot race.

Celebrating David Ellis CNZM

We’re thrilled to share the exciting news of David Ellis CNZM’s induction into the New Zealand Racing Hall of Fame. This prestigious honour recognises David’s extraordinary contribution to the industry, building Te Akau Racing into the powerhouse it is today!

Te Akau North Island Owners’ Day

We had the pleasure of hosting over 150 owners at our North Island Owners’ Day this week at Matamata. It was a special afternoon filled with laughter, stories, and unforgettable moments as owners reconnected with their horses and the team. After reflecting on an incredible year of achievements, we shared behind-the-scenes stable tours and visits with their beloved horses. It was wonderful to toast the season gone by and look ahead to an exciting 2025.

We also paraded two of our Ready to Run horses: Lot 13, a Savabeel gelding, and a King’s Legacy gelding - both exciting prospects with shares still available! There is still time to secure a share for a horse lover. We all can leave presents to the last minute, so get in touch with [email protected] for a special Te Akau Digital Yearling & Shares gift package.
