Te Akau TV Weekend Preview

In a slightly longer episode today the guys discuss what has been a disrupted week because of Covid and what that means for this weekend's racing - where? we are still unsure where and also when the racing will be held.

Fingers crossed all goes well though and we are at Headquarters Ellerslie on Sunday or Monday for the running of the Group One New Zealand Derby (woo hoo - we are racing at Ellerslie on Sunday now confirmed) . Perfect Scenario is our only chance in this year's running of the race and although he is slightly long in the market, he will put in a good honest effort to be proud of.

Before we make it to Derby Day we have four runners heading to Awapuni on Saturday including a two year old debutant we're excited to see start his career.

Derby Day sees a good portion of our stable stars get a chance to front up and continue building to their career success, some highlights to watch out for will be seeing Need I Say More looking to go back to back at Ellerslie, Entriviere taking her hardest assignment yet and Amarelinha is looking to validate her favouritism for the Oaks in a couple of weeks time.

All of our runners have credible chances and we'll be looking forward to hopefully having another special day at the home of thoroughbred racing in New Zealand!
