Te Akau TV - Weekend Preview

Welcome to another edition of Te Akau TV. The weather is starting to cool and Te Akau trainer Mark Walker is feeling it more than most after spending the past 10 years in Singapore's 30+ degree climate.

Mark enjoyed great success at his first week back claiming the Group 1 Manawatu Sires Produce Stakes with Maven Belle and Group 3 Manawatu Classic with Amalfi Prince. Mark provides an update on Maven Belle, Dynastic and On the Bubbles who are now spelling at Te Akau Stud and provides an update on the upcoming plans for the late maturing Amalfi Prince.

Mark & Hamish talk through our Yearling of the Week. Lot 486 the Not a Single Doubt filly out of the More Than Ready mare; Perform a Miracle. She looks excellent buying when looking at the average price of $637,500 for the 10 x Not a Single Doubt lots sold at Inglis Easter sale. This filly looks a Karaka Million chance and she will be advertised in the paper this weekend. We don't expect her to stick around for long. Feel free to reach out to Karyn and the team over the weekend if you would like to secure a share in this beautiful filly. A 5% share is $10,500+GST: https://teakauracing.com/product/karaka-yearling-sales-2022-lot-486-not-a-single-doubt-perform-a-miracle-bay-filly/

Mark and Hamish then cover off a small, but select number of runners across Awapuni on Friday and Riccarton and Rotorua on Saturday. Mark then tries to get on the board with his best bet.

All eyes will be on the Group trial at Rotorua on Saturday which includes both Entriviere and Sword of State who are gearing up towards a Brisbane campaign later in the month.

Next week, we look to the final Group One of the season at Te Rapa where we will see Imperatriz and Mai Tai.

Good luck to all runners and connections!
