We're hopping with eggcitement for the last Group One of the Season!

Te Akau Racing Manager Reece Trumper is in the hot seat this week as we try to deliver some Easter treats on this special holiday weekend. Reece talks us through last week's winners including Spellcraft and Brando in the Group 2 City of Palmerston North Awapuni Gold Cup. That's Brando's second Group 2 win in as many weeks and takes Mark Walker to 160 winners for the season.

Mark is just one win away from setting a new New Zealand record for winners in a season and we are hopeful that this could be achieved over the weekend at Pukekohe Park on Saturday and Woodville on Monday. Aromatic and Skew Wiff line up in the Group One NZ Thoroughbred Breeders' Stakes. This race has been won by Imperatriz and Avantage in recent years.

As always, Reece provides his best from the 21 runners taking their place over the weekend.
