WINNERS CONTINUE & A BIG WEEKEND AHEAD FOR THE TANGERINE!

It’s been rewarding week for the Tangerine Team and our owners, with results continuing to roll in across the stable.

Legally Binding delivered a smart win yesterday adding to a pleasing run of recent winners including Seize The Day, She Suits Herself, and Thumbelina. It’s always great to see that consistency across the team, and a real credit to the whole team, stable and stud,  and of course our horses - so much dedication and hard work goes on in behind the scenes to ensure our horses perform to their best on race day.

With that momentum, we now head into a busy and exciting weekend of racing, with runners across New Zealand and Australia.

We kick things off today at Pukekohe, where we have four runners engaged across the programme. Dream Of The Moon lines up over 1400 metres and looks well placed to begin the day, while last start winner Savoir Faire steps up to 2100 metres and should appreciate the trip. Charmrose gets her opportunity over 1200 metres with Opie Bosson aboard from barrier one, and Zantabulous rounds out the meeting over a mile as a consistent and honest performer who should enjoy the conditions.

Tomorrow we head south to Riccarton Park with a large team lining up across the card. Stakes' winner Cool Aza Rene contests the three-year-old feature, while Vivacious has be dual-nominated with a decision shortly as to where she will start.  In the two-year-old Pearl Bonus Series' race, we have Enchantment and Never Too Much, both promising youngsters who will benefit from their further experience. We’re also strongly represented in the Hororata Gold Cup, with Cognito, Stonybreck, and Elegant Lady all lining up over 1800 metres. Earlier on the card, Marokopa Falls and Belle Du Monde step out, as High Roller and Perlino round out a full team later in the day.

At Trentham, What You Wish For takes his place early in the programme before all eyes turn to the $250,000 Group 2 Wellington Guineas, where Origin Of Love is well favoured in the three-year-old feature.

Across the Tasman, we’re excited to see Damask Rose head back to Caulfield to contest the Group 2 Sunline Stakes (1600m). She has continued to build nicely this preparation and gets her chance on a big stage, having already placed in Group features three times in Melbourne this campaign.

We round out the weekend 'at home' on Sunday with a strong 14-horse team at Matamata, which is always a highlight for the stable and our owners. The meeting sees runners across the entire programme, beginning with Chica De Oro and Dujardin over 2000 metres. A smart group of juveniles follow with Miss Perna and First Light, while the middle of the day features runners including She Means Business, Petite Rocher, and Naughty Grannie. The later races see a number of chances step out, including Bella Chica, Arrazola, Typhoon Lucy, Hakkinen, and Viva Glam.

It’s shaping as another full and exciting weekend for the Tangerine Team, with great representation across multiple venues and some key feature race opportunities - we can’t wait! As always, thank you for your continued support - and best of luck to all of our owners with runners over the weekend! GO THE TANGERINE!
