GROUP ONE GLORY ON BOTH SIDES OF THE TASMAN!

It’s been another outstanding week for the Tangerine Team and our owners, with results continuing to roll in at the very highest level.

Last weekend was headlined by Group One success in both New Zealand and Australia, a huge achievement and a real reflection of the strength and depth across our trans-Tasman operation.

In New Zealand, Seize The Day delivered at the elite level, securing a valuable Group One victory for this colt with the aim of developing a stallion's CV. It was a performance that showcased both his quality and toughness, and a fantastic result for his ownership group. We do have final shares in this year's two-colt partnership - a great opportunity to race colts like Seize The Day, and Return To Conquer and Move To Strike both now at stud) - all Group 1 winners raced by our colt partnership each year.

Across the Tasman, Belle Cheval was magnificent and tough in Sydney, added further Group One success in Australia for the team. She produced a top-class performance to salute at the highest level in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes. To see her deliver on that stage was incredibly rewarding and a testament to the work that has gone into her campaign. Huge congratulations to David Archer and Diane Wright - we feel very privileged to train her for them and their family.

To achieve Group One victories in both jurisdictions in the same week is something we’re incredibly proud of, and a huge credit to our entire team, our horses, and of course our loyal owners.
The success didn’t stop there, with results continuing to highlight the depth and consistency across the stable.

The winning continued with a double in Australia with Future Frankie and Noble Steed as well as Fortune Cookie winning for her owners at Pukekohe.

Looking ahead on this easter weekend Saturday sees a strong team assembled at Ellerslie, beginning with promising filly Miss Perna in the two-year-old Pearl Series race over 1200m.

In the following maiden, we have a two-pronged attack with Paper Moon and Presence Of Mind, both talented fillies who receive their opportunity to break maiden ranks.

Zambrosia lines up over 1600m and looks suited stepping up to a mile, while later in the day we’re well represented in the Rating 75 with Top Shelf, War Of Succession, and Balance Of Power.

Across the Tasman in Melbourne Chateau Eze contests the 1200m handicap at Caulfield while Jenni’s Meadow lines up in the famous Pride of Jenni colours Easter Cup over 2000m.

We round out the long weekend on Easter Monday with runners at both Wanganui and Sandown.

It’s shaping as another full and exciting few days for the team, with strong representation across both sides of the Tasman and plenty of opportunities ahead.
