Te Akau TV - Weekend Preview

It’s been another winning week for the Tangerine Team, with 10 winners added to the tally, and the momentum rolls straight into a busy weekend of racing across New Zealand and Australia!

We kick things off on Friday at Pukekohe Park, where a quartet of runners step out headed by Naughty Grannie over 1600m, alongside Trouble Maker and Dare To Proisir in the sprints, before Shiatsu rounds out the day in the 1400m.

Saturday sees a major focus on Riccarton Park, where we take a strong hand into the Listed $80,000 Berkley Stud Champagne Stakes (1200m) with Zafar, Never Too Much, and Enchantment - a key black type opportunity for our juveniles on a big southern programme. Across the card, there’s strength right through the grades with Insatiable, Balance Of Power, and Stonybreck leading the charge, while a large representation in the closing races underlines the depth of the team.

Further north at Te Rapa Racecourse, El Viento, Hakkinen, and Colonel Warden step out, while across the Tasman at Bendigo Racecourse, Chateau Eze lines up in the $200,000 Bendigo Guineas over 1400m.

The weekend wraps up on Sunday at Tauherenikau Racecourse, where Presence Of Mind and Carsolio round out the team in the sprint events.
