16 June, 2019
Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Sunday 16 June at Waipa.
Weather: fine, track: Slow8, rail: true. No rain forecast.
1.40 p.m. R5 4 English Rose (4 m Makfi - Bislieri) - Craig Grylls; claimed in the
last few strides from a handy position in the Rating 65 2100 metres on
26 May at Hawera. Racing well after scoring fresh-up by three and a quarter
lengths over 1400 metres in March at Rotorua, she has drawn wide (11) in the
$10,000 Rating 65 2000 metres but rates a top four chance if appreciative of
the course at her first attempt.
2.53 p.m. R7 5 Conclusion (5 g Fully Fledged - Every
Reason) - Matt
Cameron; fought solidly in a notable fresh-up performance for fourth over 1200
metres in May at Awapuni, before pulling too hard over in the Rating 72 1200 metres last Saturday at
Te Rapa. He needs to settle and requires luck from barrier 12 in the $11,000
Rating 72 1150 metres.
