Te Akau Waipukurau Sunday Preview
Date: 8 Dec 2019
Te Akau New Zealand has three horses racing on Sunday 8 December at Waipukurau.
Weather: fine, track: Dead4, rail: out 3 metres 1300m - 400m, remainder true. No rain forecast.
2.30 p.m. R4 7 Enduring Love (4 m Camelot - Holy Moly) - Johnathan Parkes; bumped into a smart one when finishing second in the Maiden 1100 metres on 22 November at New Plymouth, with the third horse, Barney Rubble, a subsequent winner. The form rates her as an each way chance in the $10,000 Maiden 1200 metres.
3.05 p.m. R5 9 Ristretto (4 m Makfi - Espresso Cavallo) - Ryoya Kozaki; showed a lot more resolve, third-up from a spell, when finishing third in the Rating 65 1200 metres on 24 November at Te Rapa, and receives an opportunity for further improvement in the $10,000 Rating 65 1200 metres.
3.40 p.m. R6 4 Luminous (4 m Reliable Man - Keenly) - Johnathan Parkes; was given time (24 days) since a run best forgotten in the Rating 72 2100 metres on 14 November at Awapuni. Third last season in the Royal Stakes (Gr. 2, 2000m), she recorded a smart win over 1800 metres in September at Taupo, and is ideally drawn (4) in the $16,000 Rating 72 2200 metres.
