Te Akau Wanganui Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has one horse racing on Sunday 7 May at Wanganui.

As on Saturday 6 May the conditions were: fine and Slow8, rail out 5m. No rain forecast.

4.38 p.m. R8 10 Niamh Elizabeth (4 m Per Incanto - Trove) - Michael McNab; sat outside the leader and galloped home boldly under her own steam to win well when trialling on 11 April at Avondale, and resumes off 291 days in the $10,000 Rating 65 1200 metres. A winner over 1200 metres on Heavy10 in July last year at Matamata, she is bred to improve with maturity, being a half-sister to stakes' winning mare Thrive (Colombia), also trained by Te Akau. With barrier twelve to overcome, against some sharp opponents, a bold showing with blinkers on would be an encouraging start to her campaign.
