2.34 p.m. R6 5 Aquilo (3 g Snitzel - My My Maree) - Shafiq Rusof; trialled twice in April with Shafiq aboard and resumes in the $10,000 Rating 65 1200 metres. A winner at his second start and stakes placed over 1100 metres indicates his ability. He won on heavy footing and gets his chance to kick off on a positive note from barrier two.
3.09 p.m. R7 12 Albatross Point (3 f Fastnet Rock - Schooner Bay) - Shafiq Rusof; debuts in the $10,000 Maiden 1360 metres, on the back of a trial win in April at Avondale. By a Champion sire, from a Falkirk mare that impressed winning over 1200m and 1400 metres, she has shown inherent ability and should perform well first up if appreciative of conditions.
