Te Akau Racing has three horses entered on Tuesday 29 April at Warrnambool (Victoria).

Weather: showers, track: Soft6, rail: true. 4mls rain forecast Tuesday.

1:20 p.m. (NZ time) R1 2 Dreamflight (6 g Frankel – Dream Peace) – Will Gordon; he finished fourth in  Hurdle trial on 12 April at Terang, and makes his jumps' debut in the A$50,000 Maiden Hurdle. He was a Group Three and Listed winner over 1600 metres in France before transferring to Australia, and had his last flat race over 2400 metres so will be fit and ready. NZ TAB fixed odds: $18.00 & $3.30. 

4:20 p.m. (NZ time) R6 2 Leaderboard (10 g Street Cry – Flower Fairy) – Will Gordon; he comfortably won the Open Steeplechase 3250m on 6 April at Ballarat, and was in exactly that same winning form again a week later in the J. E. H. Spencer Memorial Steeplechase (4000m) at Pakenham, each with Gordon aboard. One of two stablemates contesting the A$150,000 3YB FM Scotty Stewart Brierley Steeplechase (3450m), he is racing at the peak of his powers, brings a terrific course record, and must rate a top three chance. NZ TAB fixed odds: $3.80 & $1.60. 

4:20 p.m. (NZ time) R6 6 The Mighty Spar (7 g Savabeel – O’Dianne) – Dean Parker; the second stable rep. in this event, he fought hard for a close third in thrilling finish to the Open Steeplechase (3450m) here on 28 March, and was then second in the Ecycle Solutions Steeplechase (3200m) on 13 April at Pakenham. Her is the winner of three jumps' races, including two steeplechases, and certainly is a versatile individual. He is capable of a top four finish in the A$150,000 3YB FM Scotty Stewart Brierley Steeplechase (3450m). NZ TAB fixed odds: $12.00 & $3.40.
