Te Akau track work Wednesday August 21

Course proper, right-handed (Slow):

In search of reasonable conditions to make their debuts next Monday, Aug. 26, Alchemy's Flight (Stack) and Costa Viva (Miller) quickened up from the 1000 metres to run the last 600m in 37.5.

Both sporting a record of one start, one win, All Decked Out (Miller) and O'Darci (Stack) covered 600 metres in 37.1. They are ready to trial on Tuesday Aug. 27 at Te Teko.

Scheduled to trial at the same meeting, King's Rock (Miller) and Longbeach (Stack) worked from the 800 metres at three-quarter pace and ran home in 37.7 for the final 600m.

Sand track:

Also scheduled for the meeting at Avondale, Cold Snap (Stack) and Sing like Ella (Rizman) worked over 800 metres with the final 600m in 41.1. They were tracked in their hit out by Stanica Star (Rizman) who continues building his fitness.

Secret Whisper (Miller) looked in the right condition to resume in the Benchmark 75 1400 metres next Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Matamata, when working over 1000 metres at three-quarter pace. He was tracked at an interval by Hardcore Rock (Stack) who trials at Te Teko.

Preparing to trial at Te Teko, Flirty Gertey (Stack) and 3 f More Than Ready - Insouciant (Miller) covered the last 600m in 40.7. Enhance (Donnelly) and 3 f Henrythenavigator - Chasing Mammon (Rizman) ran the 600m in 38.6. Aspen (Rizman) and Sebrose (Demir) 600m, 39.5. Jewels Gift (Demir) and Osmunda (Rizman) 600m, 40.7. Imperial Miss (Stack) 600m, 39. Gunsmoke (Hazlett) ran 600 metres in 40. Single Act (Hazlett) ran 40.8 in a nice piece of solo work.

Trialling on Sept. 10 at Cambridge, Dane's Anatomy (Rizman) and 3 f Darci Brahma - Pteridophyte (Demir) covered 600 metres in 42.2.

Urban Angel (Miller) worked nicely at three-quarter pace over 1000 metres.

All-weather track:

Preparing to trial at Te Teko, Alert (Stack) ran 600 metres in 39.5. Chambord (Miller) clocked 37.5 for 600 metres. Rise ‘n' Shine (Demir) and Sir Darci (Miller) ran 600 metres in 40.7. Flaming (Hazlett) and Light Source (Rizman) went 600 metres at three-quarter pace, as did Rockfast (Stack). Fiftyshadesofbay (Donnelly) and 2 f Darci Brahma - Sweet Dreams Baby (Demir) worked at three-quarter pace over 600 metres.

400 metres at three-quarter pace on the all-weather track:

Vive La Difference (Donnelly) and 2 f Any Suggestion - Spanish Lullaby (Hazlett) worked together. Dark Damsel (Hazlett) and 3 f Darci Brahma - Peta's Girl (Donnelly), Irish Mystic (Hazlett) and 2 f Pentire - Peta's Girl (Donnelly) all did similar work.
