Te Akau track work Wednesday September 4
Footing on the cusp of dead/slow, down the back straight, proved ideal going for horses preparing to race and they all galloped well. Trainer Jason Bridgman is keeping an eye on both the weather and track conditions with a view to placing his team to advantage in the next ten days.
Course proper, right-handed (slow)
King's Rock (Miller) and Wolfwhistle (Dee) worked in from the 1200 metres at three-quarter pace, clocking 1:20.6 for the 1000m and last 600m in 37.1. Depending on conditions, they are scheduled to start next Wednesday at Te Rapa.
All Decked Out (Miller) and Chambord (Stack) covered 1000 metres in 1:21.6, final 600m in 37.5. Chambord is ready to debut on Monday at Taupo, and All Decked Out resumes on Saturday Sept. 14 at Ruakaka.
Abidewithme (Stack) and Urban Angel (Miller) ran the last 600 metres in 37.5, ahead of the trials next Tuesday at Cambridge.
Bracketed for Taupo, or Te Rapa, Alchemy's Flight (Dee) and Spellbinder (Miller) worked over 800 metres and ran the last 600m in 37.1.
Clos De Tart (Donnelly), Jewels Gift (Miller), and Osmunda (Dee) worked as a trio over 1000 metres, running the final 600m in 37.3. Clos De Tart races on Monday at Taupo, while the latter pair trial on Tuesday at Cambridge.
Enhance (Donnelly) and Sing like Ella (Dee) quickened over the last 400 metres, covering 600m in 39.1, preparing for a 1000 metres at Taupo.
Sand track:
Milan Miss (Stack) and Orinto (Miller) worked over 1000 metres in 1:13, with both preparing to race over 1400 metres at Te Rapa.
Three-quarter pace on the sand track:
Dane's Anatomy (Dee) and 3 f Darci Brahma - Pteridophtye (Miller) worked over 1000 metres ahead of the trials at Cambridge. Secret Whisper (Hazlett) did the same in preparation to race next Wednesday at Te Rapa, or Thursday at New Plymouth. Aspen (Dee) looked ready to debut next Wednesday at Te Rapa, or Saturday at Ruakaka, when working over 800 metres. Flirty Gertey (Stack) also covered 800 metres ahead of her debut on Sept. 19 at Gisborne. Readying to trial on Sept. 24 at Te Teko, Darci's Gold (Miller) went over 800 metres.
