Course proper (Slow8):


Thrive (Miller) completed her preparation for the Benchmark 85 1600 metres on Saturday June 1 at Ellerslie, with an easy gallop over a mile and finishing off in 38.3 for the final 600m. She worked well to the line and while another run away from peak she strips a fit horse for the assignment. Secret Whisper (Stack) followed Thrive in similar work as he prepares for the Benchmark 75 2000 metres on Wednesday June 5 at Matamata.


Three-quarter pace on the Sand track:


Also for the meeting at Matamata, or depending on footing and draws the following day at New Plymouth, Clos De Tart (Miller) worked at three-quarter pace over 1000 metres. Kayleen (Rizman) went over 800 metres ahead of the Maiden 1200 metres. Sneaky Feelings (3 f High Chaparral - Landara) (Miller) went over 800 metres ahead of her debut in the Maiden 1600 metres. Urban Angel (Lang) went over 1200 metres. She is scheduled to start in the Benchmark 65 1600 metres on Saturday June 8 at Te Rapa. In addition for the meeting at Te Rapa, in the Benchmark 75 1200 metres, Cold Snap (Stack) and Darci's Gold (Miller) each worked solo over 800 metres.


Clermont Club (Stack) went over 800 metres as he prepares to trial at Cambridge, and Orinto (Miller) also worked over 800 metres.


Two-Year-Old Grass (Dead6):


Trialling on Tuesday June 11 at Cambridge, Sky Music (2 f Stravinsky - Dawn Rhapsody) (McKay) and 2 g Zabeel - Berlin Tango (Demir) worked in from the 800 metres with a final 600m in 37.3. Seline (2 f Pentire - Dion) (Lang) and 2 f Zabeel - Thistle Cove (Rizman) came home in 37.4. King Savinsky (2 g Savabeel - Lynisky) (Stack) and 2 c Brahma - Diamond Deck Darci (Miller), trialling on Tuesday June 18 at Avondale, went over the same trip to clock 37.1 for the final 600m.
