We had our final day of yearling inspections in the Waikato on Tuesday. We started at Seaton Park just out of Morrinsville, then we moved on to Blandford Lodge where Graham and Helen-Gaye Bax run a boutique operation just out of Matamata. They had some stunning yearlings this year that will go on to be good racehorses.
The last horse I bought that Graham took a share in was Darci Brahma and he has some very nice yearlings by that sire in their draft.
As I have said seem some magnificent individuals in the sale and it is SO EASY to be part of the Te Akau team - we do put our owners first!
Simply give Karyn or me a call on 07 825 4701 or email us [email protected] and I would love to talk to you about having a share in a racehorse - owning a good racehorse can be life changing not to mention the unbelievable amount of fun and friendships people receive through being involved in the racing industry. Just ask the owners of Spellbinder and Costa Viva, Longbeach and Aspen, Chambord, Rapid Gain and The Musician!
With Te Akau you have the added thrill of your horse being guaranteed a place in our Singapore stable if you wish. In Singapore a maiden race will be worth $75,000 from April - that is not a misprint - unbelievable stake money.
As I have said before, Karaka this year will represent a unique opportunity to get involved for the first time or to reinvest if you currently have horses with us.
I do intend to once again put a Te Akau Breeding Syndicate together and we will be buying the best colts in the sale to race with an eye to becoming future stallions - this syndicate was oversubscribed last year and already owners are committing to shares so they don't miss out. You should contact us soon if you are interested in this very exciting investment.
Now we have finished our Auckland and Waikato regions inspections, we only have Manawatu on Thursday and Wairarapa on Friday and then I will be attending the Trentham races on Saturday.
Today we are busy on the farm fertilising all the horse paddocks as well as branding the foals at Te Akau Stud.
