Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday 6 January-


Course Proper:

Age Of Fire (Miller) and Mongolianconqueror (Bakar) worked over 1200 metres in 1.32.2, last 600 in 41.6. Age Of Fire prepares for the Group 1 Levin Classic next Saturday and Mongolianconqueror works toward the 3YO 1500 metres at Ellerslie on 15 January.

Bak Da Master (Miller) galloped solo over an easy 1200 metres in 1.27.3, last 600 in 41.4.

Race rivals Dublin Rose (Miller) and Handsome Rebel (Bakar) galloped nicely over 800 metres in 56, last 600 in 41. Both horses aim toward the Maiden 2YO 1100 metres at Matamata next Friday.

Chance To Dance (Miller) and Silver Missile (Newman) paired up to gallop 1200 metres in 1.24.4, last 600 in 39.8. They were followed by Grazia (Tan) who ran similar times. Chance To Dance is due to line up in the Group 3 Trentham Stakes next Saturday, Silver Missile in the Maiden 1600 metres at Wanganui on Thursday and Grazia also heads toward Trentham next Saturday.

Heroic Valour (Miller) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.15.9, last 600 in 44.3. He was followed by Sword Of Osman (Bakar) and Avantage (Burdan) who also worked over 1000 metres, running similar times. Heroic Valour builds toward the Group 1 Telegraph at Trentham on 20 January after being a late scratching due to the track from the Group 1 Railway at Ellerslie.  Sword Of Osman and Avantage are en route to the Karaka Million at Ellerslie on 27 January.

No.2 Sand:

Targeting racing at Wanganui next Thursday, Poppin' Bubbles (Tan) and Coup Bradman (Burdan) galloped 1000 metres in 1.05.9, last 600 in 36.5.

Scarlet Princess (Miller) and Elegant D'Oro (K Price) galloped 1000 metres in 1.06, home in 38.6. Scarlet Princess works towards the Rating 65 Fillies & Mares 1400 metres at Matamata next Friday while Elegant D'Oro prepares for the Rating 65 1600 metres at Wanganui on Thursday.

Its Our Showtime (K Jones) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres, running the last 600 in 46.

Lady Painton (Newman) and Scrutinize (Bakar) galloped an easy 1000 metres in 1.09.9, last 600 in 40.5.

Nucleonic (Tan) caught the eye when galloping an easy 1000 metres in 1.10, home in 39.8.

With an eye on the Group 1 Telegraph, Chambord (Bakar) worked along very nicely at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.14, last 600 in 43.5.

Splurge (Miller) looked very good working at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.28.3, last 600 in 43.8. Splurge prepares for the Group 1 Thorndon Mile at Trentham on 20 January.

Scottish Star (Newman) and Bella Cassino (Burdan) paired up to gallop 600 metres in 38.5.

Building toward the Karaka Million 3YO Classic (Ellerslie, January 27), Embellish (Miller) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.14.5, last 600 in 44.

Lady Amadeus (Newman) and English Rose (Tan) galloped an easy 1000 metres in 1.10.1, last 600 in 39.4.

Lillet Rose (K Price) galloped nicely over 1000 metres in 1.08.3.

Ocean Star (Tan) and Enduring Love (Miller) galloped over 600 metres in 39. They were followed by Inheritance (Burdan) who ran similar times.

Lady Zeraph (Tan) and Jet Set (K Jones) worked together over 800 metres in 55, home in 40 while Imperium (K Price) galloped solo over 1000 metres, running the last 600 in 38.

Remington (Bakar) and Piper (Burdan) galloped together over 800 metres in 51.8, last 600 in 37. They were followed by Qian Gua (Newman) who ran similar times.

Dundeel's Girl (Buran) and Amelia Grace (Tan) worked at three quarter pace over 600 metres in 43.
