Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday November 8 -

Course proper (Slow):
No Tricks (Hercock) and Smashing (Lammas) galloped together over 1200 metres in 1:24, 1000m in 1:04.8 and the final 600m in 38.1.

Plough:
Fog prevented the timing of some sectionals.

Flirty Gertey (Lammas) and La Adelita (Hercock) worked together over 1200 metres in 1:17.2, 1000m in 1:01.8 and the final 600m in 35.9.

Opulent (Hercock) and Sonsy (Samuelsson) worked an easy 1200m in 1:24.3 and the 1000m in 1:07.9.  Arpeggio (Zainal) and Bordeaux (Lammas) covered 1200m in 1:19.7, 1000m in 1:03.2 and the final 600m in 36.2.   Davey Crockett (Samuelsson) and Got the Snitz (Zainal) went 800m in 55.3, 600m in 40.5.

Three-quarter pace on the sand track:

Equanimity (Lammas) 800 metres.

Course proper, right-handed (Slow):
Costa Viva (Hercock) worked over 1200 metres in 1:25.9, last 600m in 38.5. Costa Viva (Encosta De Lago) is preparing to contest the Valachi Downs Canterbury Breeders' Stakes (Gr. 3, 1400m) next Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Riccarton. She won the 1000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m) during the cup week carnival last season before being crowned New Zealand Bloodstock Filly of the Year.
