Te Akau track work highlights -  Saturday 10 March -

Course Proper:

Building toward the Group 1 New Zealand Oaks next Saturday, Swing Note (C Burdan) looked very good galloping 1200 metres in 1.26, home in 40.

Lady Zeraph (D Tan) and Lady Painton (C Lammas) galloped 1200 metres in 1.23, last 600 in 40. Lady Zeraph prepares for the Maiden 1600 metres while Lady Painton aims toward the Rating 65 F&M 1600 metres at Te Aroha next Friday.

Heroic Valour (N Bakar) and Paulownia (C Lammas) galloped 1000 metres in 1.08.5, last 600 in 39.3. Heroic Valour builds toward a start in the Listed Te Akau Racing Lightning Handicap at Trentham next Saturday and Paulownia readies for the Group 2 Phil Cataldo Bloodstock Wellington Guineas on the same day.

Race rivals Handsome Rebel (N Bakar) and Spirit Of Galway (C Lammas) paired up to gallop 1000 metres in 1.08.5, last 600 in 40. Both horses are scheduled to race in the Maiden 2YO 1200 metres at Matamata on Wednesday.

No2. Sand:

Tavis Star (T Newman) galloped nicely over an easy 1200 metres in 1.22, last 600 in 39.5.

Qian Gua (C Leveque) looked nice and relaxed working over an easy 1200 metres in 1.28.5, last 600 in 44.5. Due to drawing wide at Hawera on Monday, Qian Gua now builds toward the Maiden 1600 metres at Te Aroha on Friday.

Elegant D'Oro (M McNab) lead Princess Davone (D Tan) over 1200 metres in 1.20, home in 37.5. Both horses worked well and are scheduled to race in the Rating 70 2000 metres at Matamata on Wednesday.

Icebomb (K Price) and Queen Of The Air (C Burdan) paired up to gallop an easy 800 metres in 55, home in 42.

Maiden 3YO 1200 metre race rivals, Pacific Coast (M McNab) and Master Painton (C Leveque) galloped 1000 metres in 1.04.2, home in 36.5. Both horses are set to race at Matamata on Wednesday.

Te Akau Dragon (N Bakar) galloped an easy 800 metres in his own in 57, last 600 in 42.

Scheduled to race at Matamata on Wednesday, Lillet Rose (M McNab) and Scarlet Princess (C Burdan) worked together over 1000 metres in 1.04, home in 37.6.

Cloudburst (N Bakar) galloped solo over 800 metres in 55, last 600 in 40.

Readying for the Rating 65 1400 metres at Hawera on Monday, Remington (M McNab) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.14, home in 44.5. Also preparing to race at Hawera on Monday, Miss Scandinavia (C Burdan) ran similar times.

Unfazed (C Burdan) prepares for the Rating 75 1400 metres at Tauranga next Saturday - galloping 1000 metres in 1.10, home in 40.

2f Savabeel - Ampin (D Tan) and Seaforth Lass (T Newman) galloped nicely over an easy 600 metres in 39.5.

2g Reliable Man - Lumir (T Newman) and 2f Cape Blanco - My Fiancee (D Tan) paired up to gallop an easy 600 metres in 40.
