Course Proper:

Building up toward racing around New Year, Burgundy Belle (C Burdan) galloped nicely over 1000 metres in 1.11, last 600 in 40.

Preparing to race in the Listed Hallmark Stud Handicap (Open, 1200m) at Ellerslie on Boxing Day, Sword Of Osman (D Miller) galloped nicely over 1000 metres in 1.07.7, home in 38.3.

Savy Yong Blonk (J Nason) looked really good galloping over 1000 metres in 1.04.7, last 600 in 37.5. Savy Yong Blonk will race in the Rating 65 1400 metres at New Plymouth or Matamata later next week.

Probabeel (D Miller) and Griffin (C Burdan) worked over an easy 1000 metres in 1.14.1, last 600 in 41.6. Probabeel aims to race in the 2YO event at Ellerslie on January 13, while Griffin is on track to resume in the Rating 65 1200 metres at Stratford next Saturday.

Readying to debut in the 2YO event at New Plymouth next Thursday, Meritorious (J Kamaruddin) galloped in company over 800 metres in 54.2, home in 39.2. The pair were followed by Sizzler (J Nason) who also readies to race at New Plymouth, and ran similar times.

Elegant D'Oro (D Miller) galloped over 1200 metres in 1.24.1, final 600 in 39.3. Elegant D'Oro builds toward racing in the Rating 65 2000 metres at New Plymouth next Thursday.

No.2 Sand:

Mazzuro (D Miller) worked along nicely at three quarter pace over 1200 metres, running 1000 metres in 1.15.1, home in 44.4.

Witchery (C Leveque) and Publicist (J Nason) paired up for their first piece of three quarter pace work since returning to training, running the last 600 metres in 46.

Qiji Crystal (J Kamaruddin) galloped over 1000 metres in 1.10, last 600 in 40.

Shezathinka (J Nason) galloped over 1000 metres in 1.11.7, last 600 in 40.1.

Luminous (J Bragg) worked over an easy 1000 metres in 1.12, home in 42.5.

Te Akau Dragon (C Leveque) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.15, final 600 in 44.5.
