Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday 26 January
Plough:
Full Of Grace (D Miller) worked over an easy 1000 metres in 1.11.7, home in 41.2. He was followed by Enduring Love (J Kamaruddin) who also worked over 1000 metres, running similar times. Lord High Spirit (J Nason) and Fabulous Flight (C Burdan) worked on their own at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.14, last 600 in 43.7. Qiji Crystal (N Bakar) worked at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.32.4, last 600 in 45. All horses are in great order and had their final hit out ahead of racing at Te Teko on Monday.
Duck Road (D Miller) and Kylie Bax (J Kamaruddin) galloped over 1000 metres in 1.09.6, home in 39.2. Duck Road will take position in the Summer Challenge event at New Plymouth next Saturday, while Kylie Bax will resume in the Maiden 1200 metres at Matamata on Sunday.
Aiming to break Maiden status at Matamata next Sunday, Shezathinka (J Nason) worked at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.33.7, home in 43.8. Also building toward racing at Matamata on Sunday, Griffin (C Burdan) galloped 1000 metres in 1.09, last 600 in 39.2.
Scratched form racing at Trentham today, Folk Dress (N Bakar) aims toward racing at New Plymouth or Matamata next weekend, and worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.17.8, final 600 in 47.
Lethal (C Burdan) and Miss Showtime (J Kamaruddin) galloped over an easy 600 metres in 39.
Willpower (D Miller) worked over an easy 1000 metres in 1.11.6, final 600 in 41.4.
Faltonius (J Nason) and Man Oh Man (D Miller) galloped nicely over an easy 800 metres in 55.7, last 600 in 40.7
Laurentium (N Bakar) and Enrichment (J Nason) galloped over an easy 1000 metres, running the final 800 in 56.7, home in 41.9. Laurentium and Enrichment prepare to race in the Maiden 2YO 1200 metres at Matamata next Sunday - this being Enrichment's race day debut.
Cisjurane (J Nason) worked on her own at three quarter pace over 600 metres in 44.5.
2g Shamexpress - Hot Stash (J Nason) and Tam O'Shanter (J Kamaruddin) paired up to gallop an easy 600 metres in 37.8.
