Te Akau Weekend Trackwork

 Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday 4 May - 

Thick fog prevented many times being taken.









Course Proper:





Aiming toward racing at Woodville and Matamata next week, Te Akau Dragon(C Burdan) and Rakuten (D Miller) galloped over 1000 metres. They were followed by Spirit Of Galway (A Jones), who is currently dual nominated for Maiden 1200 metre events at Matamata on Wednesday. 





Also racing at Matamata on Wednesday: Lilikoi (C Grylls) and Pinultimate (J Kamaruddin), Icebomb (C Burdan) and Cicciolina (A Jones), Willpower (D Miller) and Conclusion (J Kamaruddin), Pacific Coast (D Montes de Oca) and Shebringsmerubies (M Grylls) galloped nicely over 1000 metres. 





Building toward the Group 3 Rotorua Stakes next Saturday, Sasso Corbaro (D Miller) galloped nicely over an easy 1000 metres. She was followed by She's Not Bad (D Montes de Oca).





Aiming toward the Rating 65 1600 metres at Matamata on Wednesday, Lady Zeraph (J Kamaruddin - main picture) and English Rose (C Burdan) paired up to gallop over an easy 1200 metres. 





Beau Geste (D Miller) galloped on his own over 1200 metres. Beau Geste is on track to race in the Rating 65 Highweight 2200 metres at Woodville on Thursday.









No.2 Sand:





Summer Monsoon (C Burdan) galloped solo over an easy 800 metres. Faltonius (D Miller) carried out similar work. 





So You Said (D Montes de Oca) worked on his own at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.32.





Cavort (A Jones) and Grand Ariana (J Kamaruddin) worked (separately) at three quarter pace over 800 metres, quickening in the straight to finish off.  





Miss Hepburn (M Grylls) galloped in company over an easy 800 metres.





Preparing to race in the Maiden 1600 metres at Matamata on Wednesday, Jet Set (D Miller) looked good galloping over an easy 1000 metres in 1.10.









All Weather:





Confectionery (C Grylls) galloped in company over 600 metres.
