Te Akau trackwork highlights - Saturday 14 September -





 
Course Proper: reverse direction





Racing in the Group 1 Windsor Park Trophy Saturday week, Melody Belle (M McNab) galloped over an easy 1200 metres in 1.24, last 600 in 40.3.





Also racing at Hastings Saturday week, Burgundy Belle (J Kamaruddin) galloped over an easy 1000 metres, last 600 in 40.7.





Preparing to possibly race at Taupo next Friday, Queen Of The Air (M Grylls) galloped over an easy 1000 metres, final 600 in 40.2.





Lucky Shark (M Roustoby) and Super Sid (M McNab), Zareeba (J Kamaruddin) and Te Akau Dragon (M Grylls) galloped in pairs over 1000 metres, last 600 in 38. All four horses aim toward racing at Matamata or Taupo next week, dependant on weather and track conditions. The same goes for Shebringsmerubies (D Montes de Oca), who was followed by O'Pristine (M Roustoby), running the last 600 in 38.7.





Also readying for Matamata or Taupo, Grand Ariana (D Montes de Oca) galloped over 1200 metres in 1.26, home in 41.





Rhapsody In Blue (M Roustoby) is on track to race at Taupo next Friday and galloped over an easy 1000 metres, final 600 in 40.6.













No.2 Sand:





Ripley (M Roustoby) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres, running the last 800 in 59, 600 in 44.





Oceans Eight (D Montes de Oca) galloped on her own over an easy 1000 metres in 1.09, home in 39.





Prise De Fer (M McNab) galloped over an easy 1000 metres in 1.09, last 600 in 40. He was followed by Don'tblamethemusic (L Singh) who ran very similar times. 





Blitzabeel (J Kamaruddin) galloped over an easy 1000 metres in 1.06, final 600 in 38.





In A Twinkling (M McNab) galloped over an easy 1400 metres in 1.35, last 600 in 39.





Hierarchy (M Roustoby) was followed by Excitonic (M Grylls) when galloping over an easy 1000 metres in 1.11, home in 40.





Luminous (M McNab) galloped solo over an easy 1200 metres in 1.26, last 600 in 40.













Reverse direction yesterday (Friday) morning:





Scott Base (C Burdan) and Laureate (M McNab) worked on their own at three quarter pace over 800 metres, running the last 400 in 30.





Baby Shark (M McNab) galloped over an easy 800 metres, home in 26.





Ginger Too (M McNab) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres, last 400 in 28. Diamond Dream (T Harris) also worked over 800 metres and finished off the last 400 in similar time. 





Markus Aurelius (M Roustoby) and Challa (D Montes de Oca) worked over an easy 800 metres, last 400 in 28.6.





Kingsguard (C Burdan) and When In Paris (M Roustoby) worked (separately) at three quarter pace over 800 metres, home in 29.





Lightning Field (M McNab) and Aromatic (R Alam) galloped over an easy 800 metres, last 400 in 25.





Crimson Star (M Roustoby) and 3f Rock 'n' Pop - Primo Quest (R Alam) galloped over an easy 800 metres, last 400 in 26. They were followed by Blinder (D Montes de Oca).













All Weather:





2f Savabeel - Tempo Manor (J Kamaruddin) and Royal Khan (D Montes de Oca) worked at three quarter pace over 600 metres, last 400 in 28. Pazienza (D Montes de Oca), Wicked Pony (M Roustoby) and Hoity Toity (R Alam) also worked over 600 metres and ran home in very similar time.
