Te Akau track work Saturday Feb. 1
Plough:

Precious Time (Hercock) and Pride and Passion (Misbah) worked over 1200 metres in 1:18.6, to clock the 1000m in 1:02.5, last 600m in 36.5. Talented mare, and last start winner, Precious Time (Stravinsky) is preparing for the Wairarapa Breeders' Stakes (Listed, 1600m) on Waitangi Day, Feb. 6, at Tauherenikau. In foal to Burgundy (Redoute's Choice), Pride and Passion (Encosta De Lago) will contest the Benchmark 65 1300 metres at the same meeting.

Seline (Hercock) worked solo over 1000 metres in 1:10.2, last 600m in 39. Showing good promise in her two starts to date, Seline (Pentire) will step out again shortly at the races.

Last start winner The Musician (Hercock) worked over 1000 metres in 1:05, with the last 600m in 36.4. The first winner for Minstrel Court (Danehill Dancer), The Musician is scheduled a start next Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Tauranga.

Third in the recent Levin Classic (Gr. 1, 1600m) at Trentham, Aspen (Myers) worked solo at three-quarter pace over 1400 metres. The next assignment for Aspen (Alamosa) is a much anticipated step up in distance for the weight-for-age Herbie Dyke Stakes (Gr. 1, 2000m) next Saturday, Feb. 8, at Te Rapa.
