Te Akau track work highlights Saturday 4 July -

Course proper (Slow/Heavy):

Opulent (Lammas) and Stella Di Paco (Hercock) galloped over 1000 metres in 1:11, last 600m in 41.4. Opulent (Keeper) returns to venue of her last start success, Saturday July 11 to contest the Rating 65 1400 metres at Ruakaka, where Stella Di Paco (Paco Boy) will race in the 2YO 1200 metres as a precursor to the $50,000 Ryder Stakes (Listed, 1200m) on July 25 at Otaki.

Sand track, three-quarter pace: 

Splurge (Rastrick) was tracked along by Xtravagant (Lammas) over 800m. Beacon of Hope (Grylls) followed Babilloni (Ritchie) over 800m. Royal Success (Grylls) went 800m solo.

Grazia (Lammas) and Princess Davone (Hanafi) looked good when working together over 800m. Spritz (Zac-Syed) and Zambezi Warrior (Hanafi) worked strongly over 800m. Windborne (Hercock) looked in good nick working solo over 800m, as did Ekraarstatic (Miller) and Interstellar (Gomas) each working solo over 800m. Special Memories (Miller) was strong in her work over 800m.

Imperium (K. Price) went a quiet 800m in 55. Flaming (Hercock) was tracked along by Ebony Star (Fawcett) over 800m. 3 f El Hermano - Santiga Lass (Zac-Syed) covered 800m in 55.2. Vive La Difference (Gomas) worked nicely over 800m in 57.

Daniel Miller was aboard both Gardenier (Rip Van Winkle) and Love Triangle (Encosta De Lago) over 800m and each looked good pace-working.

Skyscraper (Hercock) went 1000m three-quarter.

Sunset Pass (Miller) and 4 g Ekraar - Cape Win (Hanafi) did nice jumpers' work over 1600m on their second round, clocking 1:14 for the 1000m. They go to the jumps' trials on Monday at Cambridge.

Niamh Elizabeth (Hercock) and 2 f Showcasing - Louders (Fawcett) went an easy half mile in 55. Christine Louise (Zac-Syed) and Coincidence (Hanafi) did the same sort of work together.

Vintage Verdot (Rastrick) was followed in his work by 2 g Postponed - Promissory (Ritchie) over 800m. 2 g Sakhee's Secret - Spin ‘n Grin (Lammas) went 800m and Regal Ash (Pins) did similar work with Lammas aboard. 2 g Per Incanto - Flying Florence (Ritchie) looked good working on his own over 800m.

Carmenize (Lammas) was tracked along by Duchess Kate (Hercock) went an easy half mile in 55. 2 f Choisir - Shopping Spree (Hanafi) went 800m in 54.

1 c Alamosa - Sweet Dreams Baby (Rastrick) and 1 c Shocking - Breaker Dawn (Ritchie) enjoyed themselves during some half-pace work up the straight.
