Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday 10 October -
Fog prevented some timing.
Course proper (Dead4):
Fas (Miller) and Royal O'Reilly (Hercock) worked together over 600m in 35.2.
Plough:
Opulent (Miller) looked good when working 1000m in 1:03.
Niamh Elizabeth (Hercock) and Spritz (Coleman) ran 1000m in 1:05.
Hysteria Lane (Miller) and Sir Darci (Hercock) ran an easy 1000m, each pleasing in their work.
Amperage (K. Jones) and Osmunda (Hercock) went an easy 1000m in 1:06.7.

3f Saperavi/Paraiba & 3f High Chaparral/Star Affair
Plough, three-quarter pace:
Echezeaux (Hercock) worked over 1000m in 1:13, last 600m in 43.
Il Piu Veloce (Miller - main picture left) and 3 f Saperavi - Doyenne (K. Jones - main picture right) went over 600m in 44.

Preparing for the John Griggs Stakes (Listed, 1400m) on Oct. 17 at Ashburton, last start Canterbury Belle Stakes (Listed, 1200m) winner Windborne (Walsh) worked solo over 1200m. Windborne (Darci Brahma) ran the 800m in 50 and last 600m in 36.
Runner-up in the Canterbury Belle and also contesting the John Grigg, Princess Davone (Ritchie) worked with Bishop Rock (Walsh) over 1200m and clocked 49 and 36 for the sectionals. Bishop Rock (Fastnet Rock) is shaping to step up in distance next Saturday at Ashburton.
