Te Akau track work highlights Saturday 17 October -

Plough:

Astrid (Hercock) and Grazia (Miller) galloped 1000m in 1:03, last 600m in 36.2. Carmenize (Zac-Syed) and Echezeaux (Hercock) clocked 1:02 for the 1000m and last 600m in 36.

Fas (Miller) and Spritz (Hercock) ran 800m in 50, last 600m in 36.4. Vinevale (Hercock) and 3 f Showcasing - Louders (Miller) went 800m in 51, last 600m in 37. Bounteous (K. Jones) and 3 f Saperavi - Doyenne (Miller) went 800m in 51, last 600m in 36.9.

Duchess Kate (Hercock) and Thetruthisoutthere (Miller) worked up in hand over 1000m easy in 1:02, last 600m in 36.1.

Love Actually (Gomas) went an easy 1000m in 1:06, last 600m in 37.5. Sir Darci (Hercock) did similar solo work in 1:06 and 38.

Imperium (Price) worked easily over a mile. Wolfwhistle (Hanafi) went an easy 1200m.

Abloom (Gomas) and Tiffany's Time (Zac-Syed) worked together over 600m in 40, as did 2 f Minstrel Court - Paixinto (Hanafi) and  2 f Savabeel - Modern Lady (Zac-Syed).

3 f High Chaparral - Star Affair (Hercock) went 800m, last 600m in 41.

Plough, three-quarter pace:

Our Drahma Queen (Zac-Syed) 1200m. Star of Greenbeel (Miller) 1000m, Smashing (K. Jones) 800m, Il Piu Veloce (Zac-Syed) and Red Poppy (Hercock) went together over 800m, Skyscraper (Price) 1600m.

All-weather track:

2 f Jimmy Choux - Love Me Not (Hanafi) and 2 f Redwood - Volks Princess (Zac-Syed) worked against the rail at half pace over 400m.

Vive La Difference (Walsh) worked over 1200m. She ran the 1000m in 1:04, last 600m in 37. Risque (Walsh) went 1200m, the 1000m in 1:04, last 600m in 37. Working over the same distance, Special Memories (Walsh) clocked 1:00 and 36. Flaming (Walsh) went 1000m in 1:04, last 600m in 37.

Madame Jamai (Ritchie) pace worked.

It was reported to be lovely work by all horses. The southern team is awaiting the arrival today of Opulent (Keeper) and two-year-old filly Sassy ‘N' Smart (Smart Missile - main picture left with Il Piu Veloce right - taken at Matamata).
