Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday 12 December -

Plough:

Sequitur (K. Jones) worked solo over 1400m. He ran the 1000m in 1:05, last 600m in 37.7, which was pleasing work ahead of the Maiden 2000 metres next Wednesday at Matamata.

Beacon of Hope (Miller) and Chambord (K. Jones) galloped together over 800m in 48.6, last 600m in 34.4. Both horses worked very well. Beacon of Hope (Fastnet Rock) resumes in the Maiden 1400 metres at Matamata, and Chambord (Zabeel) trials next Tuesday at Te Aroha.

Chadsdale (Ritchie) and Herschal (Miller) also prepared for the local meeting next Wednesday, in their respective races over 1200 metres, running 1000m in 1:03.6, last 600m in 35.5.

Gardenier (K. Jones) ran 1000m in 1:04.5, last 600m in 37, which was nice solo work.

2 f Mastercraftsman - Lynisky (Fawcett) and 2 f Showcasing - Something Majic (Zac-Syed) worked well together over 800m. They ran the last 600m in 38.5.

2 g Darci Brahma - Molly Coco (Zac-Syed) and 2 f Medaglia D'oro - Elegant Fashion (Fawcett) ran good time over 800m in 51.8, last 600m in 37.2, as did 2 g Charge Forward - Imposed (Richards) and 2 g Darci Brahma - Obsession (Ritchie) in 52 and 38.3.

2 g Darci Brahma - Distinctive Lass (Zac-Syed) and 2 f Rip Van Winkle - Bak da Princess (Hanafi) also ran very good time over 800m in 51.4, last 600m in 36.5. They were tracked in the work by Leonessa (Fawcett). All three went very well.

I See Fire (Miller) and 3 f Saperavi - Primo Quest (K. Jones) went 800m in 51.5, last 600m in 37.5.

Silverdale (Shailer) went an easy 1000m in 1:09.5, last 600m in 42, and appeared to be enjoying his work.

Bordeaux (Ritchie) and Tavi Star (K. Jones) went an easy 1000m in 1:09, last 600m 39.5. Both horses loved their work.

Tiffany's Time (Miller) and 3 f High Chaparral - Star Affair (K. Jones) went an easy 800m.
