Te Akau track work highlights Saturday 26 December -

Plough:

Fog prevented the timing of some sectionals.

Silverdale (Shailer) went 1200m in 1:22, last 600m in 39, in preparation for the Rich Hill Mile (Gr. 2, 1600m) on Jan. 1 at Ellerslie.

Arpeggio (Miller) and Chambord (Hercock) worked comfortably over 1000m in 1:07, last 600m in 37.5. On Jan. 1 at Hastings, impressive fresh up winner Arpeggio (Tavistock) makes a return to the same venue for the Rating 75 1200 metres, while group one placed Chambord (Zabeel) comes off a lengthy break in the Open 1300 metres.

Thetruthisoutthere (Hercock) galloped in company over 1000m in 1:02.6, last 600m in 36.2, which was nice work ahead of resuming in the Rating 65 1200 metres on Dec. 30 at Taupo.

Echezeaux (Hercock) and Tavis Star (Hanafi) went 1200m in 1:18. Echezeaux (Encosta De Lago) is being readied for the Maiden 1600 metres on Jan. 1 at Hastings, and Tavis Star (Tavistock) to either the Rating 75 1600 metres or the same day at Ellerslie.

O'Know (Hanafi) and Special Memories (Hercock) ran 1000m in 1:04, last 600m in 37, both working well. O'Know (O'Reilly) is scheduled to debut in the Maiden 1200 metres at Hastings, and stakes placed Special Memories (Fastnet Rock) resumes in the Rating 75 1300 metres on Jan. 2 at Tauranga.

Plough, three-quarter pace:

Impressive fresh up winner Scrutinize (Miller) ran an easy 1200m in 1:25.5. Scrutinize (Savabeel) is earmarked for the Great Northern Guineas (Gr. 2, 1600m) on Jan. 1 at Ellerslie.

Osmunda (Fawcett) ran 1200m in 1:31, last 600m in 44. Back in grade, Osmunda (O'Reilly) contests the Rating 65 1600 metres on Jan. 2 at Tauranga.

Bordeaux (Richards) enjoyed his solo work over a round. He ran the 1200m in 1:21 and final 600m in 39.3. In good form, Bordeaux (Zabeel) in preparing for the Special Conditions 2100 metres on Jan. 1 at Ellerslie.

Fresh up winner Chadsdale (Shailer), gearing up for the Special Conditions 1400 metres on Jan. 1 at Ellerslie, ran 1200 metres in 1:30.

Latin Rose (Hanafi) and Shillelagh (Hercock) ran 1200m in 1:19.3, both last start winners going well. Latin Rose (Mastercraftsman) returns to Hastings, for the Rating 65 1400 metres, and Shillelagh (Savabeel) contests the Rating 75 1600 metres at Ellerslie.

Gardenier (Miller) ran 1200m in 1:33, last 600m in 45, preparing to debut in the Maiden Fillies & Mares on Jan. 1 at Hastings.
