Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday 28 May -

Course proper (Heavy):

Christine Louise (Leveque) and Herschal (K. Jones) ran 1000m in 1:13, last 600m in 42. They were followed by Tatters (M. Grylls) and all three showed to enjoy their work ahead of racing on Wednesday at Matamata.

Grandeur (Ritchie) and Skyscraper (Miller) ran 1200m in 1:32, last 600m in 41.9. They too are entered to race at Matamata.

Last start winning two-year-old Gingernuts (Ritchie) and Ebony Star (Fawcett) went an easy 800m. Gingernuts (Iffraaj) is preparing for a start in the $50,000 Castletown Stakes (Listed, 1200m) next Saturday at Wanganui.

Brer (Miller) appeared to love his work over a couple of rounds at jumper's pace.

Sand track, three-quarter pace:

Highly Likely (Leveque) worked over ground, running the 1200m in 1:32 and last 600m in 46.

Fastnet Fire (Fawcett) and Grazia (M. Grylls) worked together over 1400m. They ran the 1200m in 1:28.5 and final 600m in 44.6.

Gardenier (Miller) ran 1200m in 1:29, last 600m in 45. Spritz (K. Jones) did similar work.

Linchpin (Ritchie) went 1000m in 1:14, last 600m in 44.5.

Lady Pinot (Miller) went 800m, last 600m in 45.
