Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday 6 August -

No. 2 Sand:

Shillelagh (M. Grylls) looked terrific, working over 800 metres in 51, covering the last 600 in 37. She appears right on target to head to Melbourne on Wednesday and join stablemate Xtravagant for the spring.

The Pencarrow Stud owned pair Apreggio (Fawcett) and Echezeaux (K. Price) worked individually over 800 metres, covering the ground in 1.02.2 & 1.00.9, last 600 in 45.6 & 45.1 respectively.

Lady Painton (M. Grylls) galloped 800 metres in 1.00.0, last 600 in 44.9. Affinee (Fawcett) followed doing very similar work. Both mares are heading towards the second set of Te Teko trials in three weeks' time.

Snitzel gelding Epic Tale (Hillis) ran 800 metres on his own at three-quarter pace in 1.00.2, last 600 in 45.

All-weather:

The trio of Gold Fever (K. Price), Swing Note (Fawcett) and 2g Burgundy - La Conga (Lowry) over 600 metres at three-quarter pace in 45.8. All are being aimed towards the Te Teko trials on 25 August for their first educational trial.
