Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday 10 September -
Course Proper:
Hall Of Fame (Leveque) worked alongside Beaumarchais (Miller) over 1000 metres, they ran their last 800 in 56.1, 600 in 41.8. Hall Of Fame (Savabeel) has come through his second at Hastings in good order and Beaumarchais (Savabeel) is set to make his race day debut next week at either Te Rapa or Taupo.
Love Triangle (Fawcett) paired with Wide Awake (Miller) worked over 1000 metres, timed from the 800 metres in 52.8, last 600 in 40.9. Both horses appear in good order ahead of Te Rapa on Wednesday, September 14.
O'Know (Leveque) and Lady Painton (Cole) picked up their paces from the 1000 metres, working their last 800 metres in 53.7, last 600 in 40.7. O'Know looked good in her work leading into Te Rapa where she has been nominated for both the Maiden 1400 & 1600 metre events.
Vermair Racing owned King Kane (Miller) worked with Ocean Rock (Fawcett) over 1000 metres. They covered their last 800 in 53.2, 600 in 40.4. The pair has been nominated for the Maiden 1200 metre race at Te Rapa on Wednesday. Tiffany's Time (Leveque) and Dame Margo Fonteyn (M. Grylls) worked the same distance in similar time. Both have also been nominated for Te Rapa.
Sassy ‘N' Smart (Miller) worked with Zambezi Warrior (Fawcett) over 1000 metres, running 800 in 54.8, last 600 in 41.8. Sassy ‘N' Smart (Smart Missile) kicks off her three-year-old campaign next Saturday at Hastings in the Group Three Gold Trail Stakes. Zambezi Warrior (Pentire) begins his campaign at Pukekohe next Sunday in the Rating 75 1400 metre contest.
No. 2 Sand:
Paradise Rock (Miller) worked an easy 1000 metres, timed from the 800 in 53.7, last 600 in 39.6. The 4YO son of Fastnet Rock looks set to make his debut at Te Rapa on Wednesday in the Maiden 1200 metre contest.
Lucy Wyldstyle (Cole) looked good working over 1000 metres in 1.13, last 600 in 43.9. The 3YO filly is set to make her debut at Matamata on 21 September in a Maiden 1200 metre contest.
The Chaser (Fawcett) with Pure Savalina (Leveque) worked over 800 metres in 55, last 600 in 39. Fastnet Fire (K. Price) paired with Winehouse (Hillis) worked 800 metres in 54.7, last 600 in 40.1.
Smashing (Miller) was tracked by Tavis Star (Fawcett) over 800 metres in 58.5, last 600 in 44.2. Epic Tale (Leveque) did similar work.
Vinevale (M. Grylls) and Herschal (Fawcett) worked over 800 metres in 56, last 600 in 39.8. Primrose (Fawcett) and 3f Redoute's Choice - Scarlett Lady (Leveque) ran 800 metres and covered their last 600 in 41.8.
Exhibition (Pinn) with Elegant D'Oro (Leveque) ran 800 metres in 55.0, last 600 in 40.4. Both looked good in their work. Two-year-olds Silver Missile (K. Price) and Iffragal (Hillis) both travelled keenly over 600 metres in 46.
Kuia (Miller) ran 800 metres in 58.1, last 600 in 42.
Abidewithme (M. Grylls) covered 800 metres in 55.1, last 600 in 40.2.
Princess Davone (Cole) worked 800 metres in 56.2, last 600 in 40.9.
All-weather:
A trio of 2YOs worked over 600 metres, they included 2f Commands - Meleka Belle (Pinn), 2c Stratum - Princess Narine (K. Price) & Inspire Me (Hillis). The group covered the ground in 44.6. All three are set to have their first trials at Avondale on 20 September.
