Te Akau Weekend Trackwork

Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday July 5 -

Sand track 600 metres three-quarter pace:

Abidewithme (Hercock), Chambord (Miller), King's Rock (Miller), Sir Darci (Roff), and Spellbinder (Miller) all worked solo.

Two-Year-Old Grass track, 600 metres three-quarter pace (Heavy):

Bordeaux (Richards) and Zarules (Miller) worked together, Flaming (Roff) and 2 f Guillotine - Clearbrook Lane (Miller), Darci's Dream (Hercock) and Vive La Difference (Roff), Bon Marche (Hercock) and Duran (Kilinc).

Madame Jamai (Hercock) was followed at an interval by Prince Henry (Richards). Working solo: Rockfast (Miller) and Scandinavian (Miller).

Preparing for the Maiden High-weight 2200 metres next Wednesday 9 July at Te Aroha, Redoute's Chance (Hazlett) schooled nicely over some pony jumps, and Tommy Hazlett also worked the jumper Brer over a couple of laps at jumpers pace.

Continuing their education, the yearlings: 1 c Fastnet Rock - Morgalicious (Richards) and 1 c Pins - Laurinel Princess (Miller), and 1 c Fastnet Rock - Festival Princess (Hazlett - main picture left on Friday) and Esprit De Corps (Richards - main picture right on Friday) went through the practice gates.

Show No Emotion (Ellis) pace worked a couple of laps on the hurdle grass and Atua, also ridden by Davey Ellis cantered nicely in his work.
