Zavistic (Fawcett) a scratching from Te Rapa on Sunday worked with Wide Awake (Winter) over 1000 metres, the pair ran their last 600 metres in 35.5.

Splurge (Miller) covered 1000 metres in 1.05.

Chadsdale (Tan) and Tatters (Leveque) worked over 1000 metres in 1.07, last 600 in 37.

Abidewithme (M. Grylls) wasn't after time working over 1000 metres in 1.11, last 600 in 42.

Fastnet Fire (Pinn) stopped the clock at 1.14.5 at the end of 1000 metres, last 600 in 44.5.

Smashing (Cole) had a quiet time over 1000 metres, covering the ground in 1.12, last 600 in 41.6. Its Our Showtime (Leveque) followed behind running similar times.

Karaka Million hopefuls Iffragal (Winter) and Melody Belle (Fawcett) worked over 1000 metres at three-quarter race in 1.13, last 600 in 41.

Imperium (Leveque) and Heroic Valour (Miller) worked over 1000 metres in 1.05, last 600 in 37.5. Smoke House Bay (Cole) followed the pair and looked strong at the line, running similar times.

Latin Rose (Leveque) travelled well over 1000 metres in 1.12, last 600 in 40.

Foreigner (Cole) ran 1000 metres in 1.10.5, last 600 in 39.5.
