Te Akau Weekend Trackwork

Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday 15 April - 

Course Proper:

Brisbane Carnival horses Heroic Valour (Miller) and Hall Of Fame (McNab - main picture) worked over 1000 metres in a time of 1.14, last 600 in 41.2 on very heavy track conditions.

Abbey Kay (McNab) led Savvy Lady (Miller) over 1000 metres in 1.17, running the last 600 in 42.9.

Zedman (Leveque) and Colorado Prince (Tan) enjoyed their work over 1000 metres with a time of 1.12.6, running the last 600 metres in 41.8.

Splurge (Miller) covered 800 metres in 56 and the last 600 in 43. Splurge will have one more race at Te Rapa on 29 April, before departing for his Brisbane Carnival campaign.

Lady Pinot (McNab) ran 800 metres in 55, last 600 in 42 under a hard hold. Lady Pinot is scheduled to race at Trentham on 22 April, in the Rating 65 1000 metre event.

Spritz (Fawcett) and Corporate Missile (M Grylls) worked over 1000 metres in 1.12.5, last 600 in 41.6.

Cousteau (McNab) worked over 800 metres in 52.6, running his last 600 in 39.5.  Pacific Coast (Miller) followed behind running a slightly slower last 600.

No.2 Sand:

Fastnet Fire (Fawcett), who races in the Rating 65 1800 metre event at Taupo on Monday, worked with companion Our King Sway (Glenn Old). They covered 1200 metres in 1.13.5, last 600 in 36. They produced some nice work on a tough sand.

Zambezi Warrior (McNab) worked well over 1000 metres, running 1.14.44. Zambezi Warrior is another exciting Brisbane Carnival bound horse.

Lucy Wyldstyle (K Price) worked solo at three quarter pace over 1000 metres running 1.15, last 600 in 45.

Alamosa Express (Miller) worked his last 600 metres in 42. He is set to race in the 3YO 1300 metre event on Monday at Taupo.

Latin Rose (Miller) worked very nicely alongside Foreigner (McNab), they covered 1000 metres in 1.12.6, last 600 in 40.2.

Meteoric Lass (Leveque) and 2f Commands - Donna Sienna(Pinn) hit the line on even terms, running 600 metres in 40.8.

All Weather:

Elegant D'Oro (Leveque) covered 800 metres in 52, last 600 in 38.3.  2f Burgundy - Squall (R Cole) worked over the same ground running similar time. Both horses are preparing to run at the Waipa trials on Tuesday 18 April.

Amperage (Fawcett) worked keenly over 1200 metres in 1.16, running his last 600 in 38.5.

Poppin' Bubbles (Rika) and Dazed And Confused (K Price) covered 1000 metres at three quarter pace in a time of 1.15, last 600 in 45.

2g Rock ‘N' Pop - Edesia (Tan) and 2g Mastercraftsman - Bak Da Princess (C Grylls) worked an easy 600 metres at three quarter pace, in a time of 42.

Former successful Singapore galloper Jimmy Rae (Leveque) who has rejoined Te Akau in New Zealand, worked solo over 800 metres in 59, last 600 in 43. Leonessa (K Price) also worked over 800 metres, running similar time.

Cloud Burst (McNab) and Lady Masako (Rika) worked together over 800 metres in 55, last 600 in 38.7.

2g Rip Van Winkle - Vega Sicilia (Miller) and 2g Uncle Mo - Indalama (Pinn) matched strides over 600 metres in 41.

2f Burgundy - Ensorcelez (Fawcett), 2g Bernadini - Eternal Path(Leveque) and 2f Cape Blanco - Singalong (Tan) all worked together over an easy 600 metres in 40 seconds.
