Te Akau Weekend Trackwork

Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday 22 April -


Course Proper:

Jimmy Rea (Leveque) worked well alongside Silverdale (Miller) when running 800 in 51.6, last 600 in 37.9.


All Weather:

2f Burgundy - Squall (Leveque) and 2g Ocean Park - Queen Rania (Pinn) worked nicely together over 800 metres in 53, last 600 in 38.5.

English Rose (Leveque) and Griffin (Tan) travelled over 800 metres in 54, last 600 in 39. 2c Amazour - Franny (Miller) and Jet Set (Pinn) also worked over the same distance, running similar time.

Splurge (Miller) enjoyed his work over 1000 metres 1.04.66, last 600 in 37.5.

Grazia (Leveque) strode out over 1200 metres, running her last 1000 in 1.08.05.

Alboom (Tan) and Lady Amadeus (M Grylls) worked an easy 1000 metres in 1.09, last 600 in 40. Both horses were travelling nicely.

Bishop Rock (Pinn) and Rocksun (McNab) paired up to work over 800 metres in 52, running their final 600 in 38.

Piper (Miller) and Poppin' Bubbles (McNab) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.14.5, last 600 in 44. Piper is set to have her race day debut at Avondale on Tuesday in the 2YO Fillies event over 1200 metres, Poppin' Bubbles also starts in the same event.

 

No2. Sand:

2f Fastnet Rock - Gipsy Countess (Pinn) and Leonessa (Miller) looked to be working quite quickly over 800 metres. No time was recorded.

Fastnet Fire (Tan) worked an easy 1000 metres in 1.07, last 600 in 38.4.

2g Rip Van Winkle - Vega Sicilia (Pinn) and Pacific Coast (McNab) produced some very nice work over 1000 metres in 1.06.07, last 600 in 36.6.

Elegant D'Oro (Leveque) and Tavis Star (Fawcett) ran 800 metres in 52.6, last 600 in 38.2. They were both very pleasing in their work.

Play For Time (Miller) looked good working with Hall Of Fame (McNab) over 1000 metres in 1.07, last 600 in 38.5. They were followed by Age Of Fire (Pinn) who ran similar time.

Zedman (Leveque) and Niamh Elizabeth (Fawcett) worked very well over 1000 metres in 1.03, last 600 in 36.5.

Lady Masako (Ernie) worked with 3f Pins - Lillet (K Price) over 800 metres in 53, last 600 in 39.

Gold Fever (Miller) and Corporate Missile (Fawcett) impressed over 1000 metres in 1.08, last 600 in 36.5.

Heroic Valour (J Richards) worked well over 1000 metres in 1.12, last 600 in 41.
