Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday 21 October -
All Weather:
Pinot Grey (Burdan) and Shebringsmerubies (Tan) paired up to worked over an easy 600 metres in 44.
Plough:
Elegant D'Oro (M Grylls) galloped solo over an easy 1000 metres in 1.06, last 600 in 38.
Qian Cheng (Tan) and Cavort (M Grylls) galloped over 800 metres in 53, last 600 in 38. Pop Diva (Newman) and The Chaser (Lammas) also galloped over 800 metres, running similar times.
Embellish (Lammas) and Beaumarchais (Newman) worked well over 1000 metres in 1.06, home in 36.5 as both horses build toward racing at Trentham next Saturday.
Piper (K Jones) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres in 1.01, last 600 in 45.5.
4m Pins - Lillet (Tan) worked solo at three quarter pace over 800 metres in 59, home in 43.
Queen Of The Air (Bakar) and Publicist (Lammas) paired up to gallop over 800 metres in 54, last 600 in 39. Queen Of The Air is preparing for the Listed 2YO event at Trentham next Saturday.
Handsome Rebel (Newman) and Al Hasa (Alam) galloped nicely over 600 metres in 38.
Griffin (Newman) worked on his own at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.13, last 600 in 42.5. Griffin is now set to line up in the Group Two 3YO James & Annie Sarten Memorial Stakes at Te Rapa on Monday.
South Island: No times due to thick fog
Swing Note (Miller) and Tiffany's Time (McNab) worked well together over 1200 metres. Tiffany's Time has been scratched from Ashburton today and will race in the Rating 75 1600 metre event at Wingatui next Wednesday.
Avantage (McNab) worked nicely in company over 800 metres.
King Kane (McNab) and Zavistic (Miller) worked together over 1000 metres and prepare to race at Wingatui next Wednesday.
Grazia (Miller) galloped solo over an easy 1200 metres.
Astrid (McNab) and Lady Amadeus (Miller) galloped over 1000 metres. Astrid builds toward racing in the Rating 80 1200 metres at Wingatui next Wednesday.
