Te Akau Racing has four horses entered on Friday 22 May at Wingatui.

11:48 a.m. R1 2 Hooray For Harry (4 g Harry Angel – Here We Come) – Triston Moodley (a1); he picked a path through for fifth in the Rating 75 1200 metres on 2 May at Riccarton, and contests the $17,000 Rating 75 1200 metres. A dual winner over 1200 metres, he was fifth at his only previous course/distance attempt, has been a winner on soft and heavy tracks, and has the ability to measure up in this good compact field. Fixed odds: $3.40 & $1.45.

12:21 p.m. R2 9 Tinuviel (3 f Too Darn Hot – Axiom) – Triston Moodley (a1); she ran on from the rear after drawing wide (11) in the Maiden 1200 metres on 30 April at Riccarton (poly-track), and contests the $17,000 Maiden 2YO & Up 1200 metres. She resumed with a terrific effort for a close third in the Maiden 1200 metres on 11 April at Riccarton (turf), and returns to the turf with a good opportunity to improve but requires luck from her wide gate (11). Fixed odds: $4.20 & $1.85.

12:54 p.m. R3 8 Best Rose (3 f Maurice – Queen’s Legacy) – Amber Riddell (a1); she finished sixth after trailing in the Rating 65 1200 metres on 2 May at Riccarton, and contests the $17,000 Rating 65 1200 metres. She did well on Soft7 going for second prior, has a solid race record, and possesses the ability to prove competitive if she handles the course at her first attempt. Fixed odds: $4.00 & $1.80.

4:24 p.m. R9 7 Balance Of Power (5 g Almanzor – Respin) – Triston Moodley (a1); he was unable to quicken after making an early move to lead in the Rating 75 1800 metres on 2 May at Riccarton, and contests the $17,000 Rating 75 1600 metres. He found the line well when resuming prior at Ellerslie, has and has had the time to settle in to the Te Akau stable at Riccarton. His four wins have all been up to 2000 metres, and he has shown in the past that he can handle soft ground. Fixed odds: $3.80 & $1.70.
