2.00 p.m. R4 4 Scottish Star (4 m Bullbars - Highland Lights) - Ryan Elliot; kept up a good gallop for third when trialling on 25 February at Avondale, and resumes in the $10,000 Rating 65 1200 metres. A debut winner over 1200 metres, and placed twice in five starts, she is a half-sister to former stable-mate Our Abbadean (Lookin at Lucky), a dual Group Two winner and twice Group One placed. She rates a top three chance.
4.55 p.m. R9 7 Vicenza (3 f Sacred Falls - Tonic) - Ryan Elliot; capped two strong finishes when rounding off with plenty of authority to win the Maiden 1400 metres on 20 February at Wairoa. Drawn barrier five in the $10,000 Rating 65 1600 metres, she appears ideally placed to pose an immediate threat in the next grade.
