Te Akau Racing has four horses entered on Sunday 9 May at Woodville.

Weather: fine, track: Dead5, rail: true. 3mls rain forecast Sunday afternoon.

 

11.30 a.m. R3 14 Soprano Supreme (3 f Contributer - Falsetto) - Samantha Collett; was good through the line from last on debut in November at Tauranga, spelled, and ran home well for second when trialling on 20 April at Cambridge. Resuming in the $10,000 Maiden 1400 metres, look for her finding the line with luck from barrier 15.

1.09 p.m. R6 6 Rhapsody in Blue  (4 m Medaglia d'Oro - Kablues) - Samantha Collett; worked forward outside leader before finishing seventh in a strong field for the Rating 74 1200 metres on 26 April at Avondale. Her two prior efforts were notable and she drops in grade, from barrier five, in the $10,000 Rating 65 1200 metres.

2.59 p.m. R9 14 Feelin' Fancy (4 m Rip Van Winkle - Frivolous) - Samantha Collett; made it two from her last three when powering home to win stylishly in the Rating 65 1600 metres on 17 April at Hastings, and steps up in $20,000 Woodville/Pahiatua Cup (Rating 74 1600 metres). From barrier six, she rates a top four chance in a solid line-up.

2.59 p.m. R9 15 Zouluminous (4 m Zoustar - Luminous Harmony) - Joe Kamaruddin (a3); finished third to stable-mate Military Step (Tavistock) in the South Waikato Cup (Open, 2000m) in March at Matamata, and claimed late by stable-mate and subsequent winner  Leaderboard (Street Cry) in the Rating 74 2000 metres on the same course in April. Weight relief to 52.5kg, she should go well from barrier five in the $20,000 Woodville/Pahiatua Cup (Rating 74 1600 metres).
