Te Akau's Te Rapa Two

Te Akau New Zealand has two horses entered for the eight-race programme for the Cambridge Jockey Club on Sunday Nov. 24 at Te Rapa.

As on Wednesday Nov. 20 the conditions were: fine and Dead5, rail out 10 metres.

3:49pm R6 15 Exabelle (5 m Exceed and Excel - Avabelle) - Kelly Myers; settled rearward on a steady pace and rounded off solidly for third on Oct. 30 in the Benchmark 65 1600 metres at Pukekohe. A course winner early in her career, she did well to finish sixth here after having no favours off the pace and wide two starts ago. Having the advantage of an ideal draw in barrier two, and again over a mile, she rates a good chance in a very even field.

4:26pm R7 4 Longbeach (3 c Fastnet Rock - Betwixt) - Kelly Myers; was nicely handled in midfield and sustained a strong finish for third on Oct. 30 in the Maiden 3YO 1400 metres at Pukekohe. Coming out of two good form races, from only two starts, he too is perfectly drawn in barrier three and up to a mile in this field appears one of the main chances.
