Te Rapa Trials Delayed

New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing has advised today that the trials scheduled for tomorrow at the Waikato Racing Club's Te Rapa track have been pushed out to Thursday 4 August.

With the heavy track conditions, this is an understandable decision, particularly in light of good drying days currently, and expected up to Thursday.

The following official announcement was made:

"After 7.5mm of rain yesterday (Sunday) and a favourable forecast for the next few days the trials at Te Rapa have been postponed until Thursday 4 August. Nominations close with the Bureau on Wednesday at 12 noon."

Te Akau will have a large contingent of trialists heading to Hamilton and we very much look forward to the new season unfolding.
